We’re introducing a squirrel mascot that will represent KPUB at elementary schools, safety demonstrations, community outreach events, and our annual Bucket Truck Ride event. This little critter will help us connect with families and young learners while promoting important messages about electrical safety, hydropower, and public power.
And while squirrels may be known for causing a few power outages here and there (okay…a lot), we’re giving one a second chance—as our newest community ambassador.
Submit Your Ideas!
We’re asking the community to submit name suggestions for our mascot by October 1, 2025. The winning name will be revealed during KPUB’s 5th Annual Bucket Truck Ride Event on October 11 at Louise Hays Park, as part of our Public Power Week celebration!
