KPUB billing calendar
KPUB offers four standard billing cycles: Cycle 01, 02, 03, and 04.
Your bill is due on a Friday each month, with the exact due date based on your assigned cycle.
If your current billing cycle doesn’t match your budgeting needs or pay schedule, we’re happy to help. Customers may request a billing cycle change once per calendar year. To make a request, simply contact our Customer Service team at 830.257.3050 or email us at [email protected].

At KPUB, we offer a variety of billing programs and tools to make managing your electric bill simple and convenient. Whether you prefer to pay as you go or want a more predictable monthly amount, we have flexible options to meet your needs.
budget billing
‘With KPUB’s Budget Billing Plan, you can pay the same amount each month on your electric bill. For those on a fixed income, this program is very helpful.
Customers who have been at the same address and have paid on time for twelve consecutive months are eligible for this program.
- Contact our office to see how much your average billing is for the past twelve months.
- A budget amount will be calculated based on your last twelve months’ average bill.
- Your budget billing amount may be reviewed and adjusted periodically based on actual energy use.
- After twelve months, if you have overpaid or underpaid, the balance will be rolled into the next twelve months’ average.
- You will receive a notification on your yearly anniversary concerning the account balance and options available.

Budget billing is for residential customers only who have been at the same address for 12 months with on-time payment history.
PREPAY BILLING PROGRAM
Pay when you want, and how you want.
KPUB’s PrePay billing program lets you decide how much electricity to purchase. By paying for your electricity before you use it, you’ll be able to decide how much you pay, and when you pay.
With PrePay, you are putting electricity in your home—just like you fill the gas tank in your car, you pay for it before you use it. You can purchase small amounts every few days,
or fill up the tank and not worry about it or several weeks. When your supply is low, you simply purchase more.
In similar programs across the country, PrePay participants typically see a 10 to 12% reduction in their monthly electric bill.
