January 7, 2026—Kerrville Public Utility Board (KPUB) has once again earned the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the 2024 fiscal year.
The Certificate of Achievement is the highest recognition awarded in governmental accounting and financial reporting. Reports submitted for consideration undergo a detailed evaluation by an independent panel and must meet strict standards for accuracy, clarity, and transparency, demonstrating a strong commitment to full and open financial disclosure.
This year’s award marks the 32nd consecutive year KPUB has received this national distinction, reflecting the utility’s long-standing dedication to responsible financial management and clear communication with its customers and community.
“Consistently earning this award speaks to the structure, discipline, and transparency embedded in our financial operations,” said Amy Dozier, KPUB Assistant General Manager. “Our team understands the importance of clear, reliable reporting and works diligently to uphold those standards year after year.”
Established in 1945, the GFOA’s Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program encourages state and local governments to exceed minimum generally accepted accounting principles by producing comprehensive reports that emphasize transparency and public trust.
